Islamic Republic of Iran has started construction of a new nuclear power plant in Khuzestan province.
As foreign news agency, Mohammad Aslami the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, confirmed this in a statement released on TV.
According to Muhammad Aslami, the construction of a 300 megawatt power plant has been started already in Khuzestan province Darkhwin district.
Muhammad Aslami, the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization also said that it will take almost 7 years to build a nuclear power plant.
He told that the cost of this nuclear power plant is expected to be 1.5 to 2 billion US dollars.
