Afghanistan’s cycling champion Fariba has accepted an offer to join the Israeli women’s team.
Israel’s Women’s World Tour team offered Fariba for the new season.
Fariba will represent Israel in the women’s Tour de France cycling event.
Two sisters Fariba, 19, and Yelduz, 22, won the Afghan National Cycling Championship in Switzerland on Sunday.
The championship was held in Switzerland because the Taliban government has banned girls’ sports.
Fariba and Yelduz left the country before the Taliban’s victory in August last year.
Israel will soon announce the women’s under-23 continental team that will include Yildouz.
