On October 25, European Commission President von der Leyen said at an international expert meeting on Ukraine’s reconstruction held in Berlin, Germany that the EU plans to provide Ukraine with a total of 18 billion euros in aid in 2023, equivalent to 1.5 billion euros per month. Support the operation of the Ukrainian government, pay Ukrainian public officials, and maintain and rebuild critical infrastructure.

Von der Leyen also said that Ukraine’s future reconstruction costs will be as high as 350 billion euros. In order to raise and properly allocate this huge amount of money, the G7 governments and international financial institutions should carry out close coordination. (Headquarters reporter Tao Ye)
