Air quality in the Indian capital New Delhi is likely to worsen from tomorrow, with the Delhi government suspending most construction and demolition activities in the city.
Today, the air quality in Delhi remained extremely poor with the city’s air index recorded at 415, which is likely to deteriorate further tomorrow.
According to officials, in view of air pollution, more than 500 machines will sprinkle water in Delhi, while more than 200 anti-smog guns will also be used to control air pollution.
Every winter in Delhi, air pollution increases due to burning of crop residues, vehicle fumes and construction activities.
