In view of the security forces’ crackdown and arrests in the demonstrations against the death of a detained girl in Iran, Germany instructed its citizens to leave Iran.

The German Foreign Ministry says that citizens have been asked to leave Iran, there is a risk of German citizens being arrested in Iran, German citizens are at risk of being questioned and imprisoned.

The crackdown of the security forces against the protesters is continuing in Iran, so far thousands of people including journalists have been arrested in the crackdown.

Protests have been ongoing in Iran for a month and a half against the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, who allegedly died of a heart attack while in Iranian police custody.

It should be noted that Mehsa Amini was arrested on September 13 for violating the law on wearing a headscarf.
