Pakistan’s legendary cricketer late Abdul Qadir has been inducted into the International Cricket Council (ICC) Hall of Fame.
ICC added 3 new names to the Hall of Fame including Abdul Qadir’s name.
Apart from Abdul Qadir, West Indies’ Shivrine Chandrapal and England’s Charlotte Edwards have also been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Abdul Qadir’s son and cricketer Usman Qadir has said that on behalf of the family, I thank everyone for this honor, it is an honor for the family to join the father in the Hall of Fame.
Abdul Qadir is the seventh Pakistani in the ICC Hall of Fame.
Indian players mourn Abdul Qadir’s death
Abdul Qadir took 236 wickets in Test cricket and 132 wickets in ODIs.
Zaheer Abbas, Waqar Younis, Imran Khan, Hanif Mohammad, Javed Miandad and Wasim Akram have also entered the Hall of Fame.
Legend Abdul Qadir died in 2019 due to cardiac arrest.
