Australian cricket team captain Pete Cummins has announced that he will not play in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

According to Indian media, Pete Cummins played the last 3 seasons of IPL with the Kolkata Knight Riders team, but this year he has decided not to play the league due to more international matches.

The captain of Australia’s Test and ODI team released a message on his social media account and wrote that I have decided not to play IPL next year, the next 12 months are full of Tests and ODI matches.

Pete Cummins further wrote that he will take some rest before the Ashes series and the World Cup.

The Australian player has also informed the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders about his decision.
