The FIFA World Cup 2022 saw yet another upset, this time with four-time world champions Germany losing to Japan.

Exciting matches continue during the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, where Japan beat Germany by two goals to one in today’s Group E match.

The German team initially took a 0-1 lead on penalty kicks.

Both the teams saw a tight contest but the first half ended with the German team in the lead.

From the beginning of the second half, Germany doubled their lead while Japan tried hard to end it, but the goalkeepers of both teams stopped the attacks of the rival teams.

An interesting situation arose in the 75th minute of the match when Retsu Doan, who came on the field after being substituted just four minutes earlier, scored the first goal against Germany.

After the match was tied, both teams took an aggressive approach, but Japan was able to take advantage when Takuma Asano headed the ball into the net to give his side a 1-2 lead.

Germany tried to score until the final moments but failed to evade the Japanese goalkeeper and the match ended with a 1-2 victory for Japan.

It should be noted that this was the first match between Japan and Germany in the history of the World Cup.
