The unique residence of a businessman in Can Tho, Vietnam’s fourth largest city, has become the center of attention, due to the structure of the house, which is gold-plated on the inside and outside.
The aforementioned businessman named Nguyen Van Truong made his fortune from the real estate business. He visited many countries around the world and decided to return to his hometown and build a residence that would be a real tourist attraction.
After which he consulted a home decorator on the construction of a gold theme house and built the house. Indeed, it would be an exaggeration to say that he only used modest gold plate because if you look closely at his house, everything from the walls to the furniture and many decorative items are completely gold or at least gold plated. .
Speaking to local media, Nguyen Van Truong said that he first decided to build a gold-plated house, six years ago he thought it was time to make it a reality. After which it took 3 years to complete this project.
As soon as this house was completed, it attracted the attention of local people. Although either paint or gold leaf has been used to give it this look, it looks just like real gold.
However, 18 kg gold plate has been used for this purpose. He has now opened it up to tourists who charge a fee of four dollars while also building a cafe which charges the equivalent of three dollars per visit.
