The Saudi Football Organization has applied to the Asian Football Organization to host the Women’s Asia Cup 2026.
According to Akaz newspaper, the representative of the Asian Organization welcomed the Saudi delegation that presented the request in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, where the head office of the organization is located.
The Saudi delegation consists of first assistant coach of the Saudi women’s football team Dani Rajab, team players Raghad Halmi and Maria Bagfar.
The chairman of the Saudi Football Organization, Yasir Al-Mashal, says that Saudi Arabia is keen to host the 2026 Asian Cup of Ladies Football.

According to him, ‘thanks to this, new ways will be opened for the women’s football club in the region including the state. The women’s football team in the kingdom has made great progress in a limited period. The Kingdom will be able to host the Ladies Asian Cup in a magnificent manner.
It has excellent sports infrastructure. Fans from all over the world, including Asia, will be warmly welcomed here.
Al-Mashal further said that we have been preparing to host this competition for a long time. The case of Saudi Arabia is complete. A file containing all the details required in this regard is ready. We are confident that Saudi Arabia will get the opportunity to host.
Al-Mashal said that Saudi Arabia wants to do the honor of hosting the final matches of the Women’s Football Asian Cup 2026 not only for the promotion of women’s football, but thanks to this hosting, Saudi Arabia will also come to the sports world map.
