In Solapur district of Maharashtra state of India, two twin sisters got married to the same person.
The police have registered a case against the bridegroom and the two sisters under the country’s law.
According to Indian media, the IT professional twin sisters are named Pinky and Rinky and they work in Mumbai.
The marriage of the two took place in Tehsil Malsheras on Friday and its videos went viral on social media.
The families of the groom and the two sisters expressed their consent to the controversial marriage.
A complaint has been filed against the husband of the twin sisters under section 494 of the Indian Penal Code in Akluj police station.
“The bridegroom has married 36-year-old twin sisters of IT professionals, which is a crime under Indian law,” the police application said.
