The Taliban government in Afghanistan has carried out public executions for the first time since taking power.
According to the British newspaper Independent, the hanged person has been identified as Taj Mir.
According to Taliban officials, Taj Mir was sentenced to death for the murder, which was carried out.
According to Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, the public execution was carried out in the western province of Farah, which was witnessed by hundreds of people, including top Taliban leaders.
Zabihullah said that the death sentence of Taliban Supreme Leader Mullah Haibatullah Samit was upheld by three high courts.
According to him, the decision of death penalty was taken very carefully.
