The new design of Britain’s new currency notes has been released, with an image of the new King Charles featured on the notes.
The Bank of England has told that the picture of King Charles will be published on plastic notes of 5, 10, 20 and 50 pounds.
The new design notes will go into circulation from mid-2024, with an image of King Charles on the cover.
Notes bearing images of Queen Elizabeth II will also be accepted, and running, only old notes will be replaced with new notes in keeping with royal orders in this regard.
As per the royal decree, the monetary impact during the exchange of notes has been asked to be kept to a minimum.

The Bank of England says the notes with images of Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles will be accepted across the country.
A coin bearing the image of King Charles will also be issued very soon, with 4.9 million coins being distributed through 9,452 post offices across the country.
It may be recalled that the Bank of England first published portraits of Queen Elizabeth II on the £1 note in 1960.
