Afghanistan‘s minister of higher education says. That women were bann from Afghan universities because female students were not following the dress code and other guidelines.
Afghan Minister Muhammad Nadeem said that the female students were not following the Islamic teachings of not traveling without clothes or Muharram. He said that unfortunately, despite the passage of 14 months. The instructions issued by the Afghan Ministry of Higher Education about dress code regarding female students were not being implement.
He said that the students used to come dressed as if they were coming to a wedding. The students coming to the university were not even wearing hijabs.
He further informed that these science subjects were not suitable for female students.
Similarly, engineering, agriculture and some other courses are also not in accordance with the dignity of female students and Afghan culture.
He further said that the authorities have also closed those madrasas where only female students were being taught. But they are located inside the mosques.
