In the Uttar Pradesh of Indian state, thieves stole more than one crore rupees worth of gold by tunneling into a bank in a film style.

According to Indian news media, the thieves made their way through an 11 feet long and 4 feet wide tunnel from an empty plot behind to the bank building, a local branch of State Bank in Kanpur city.

The thieves broke the locker in the bank, and stole all gold weighing more than one kilogram; but the thieves could not break the lock of the cash locker, which contained 32 lakh cash.

According to bank officials, the stolen gold belonged to 29 persons who had taken a loan from the bank by keeping the gold.
