The Road Security Force has issued a warning to those traveling on the highway between Jeddah, Makkah, Bahra, and Jammu.
According to the Subak website, the Road Security Force has said that ‘due to the forecast of heavy rain and strong wind, travel on the said highway needs to be done carefully’.
It should be noted that the meteorological department has predicted that there will be heavy rain in Jeddah and other commissionerates of Makkah region on Thursday and tomorrow.
The Road Security Force has told the passengers that ‘visibility will be affected during rain, while following safety rules, one should stop the vehicle near the nearest petrol station or guest house and wait for the rain to subside’.
On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning for the residents of the Makkah region, expecting heavy rain with thunder.
The department has said that the weather will become cold with strong winds in the areas of Jeddah, Taif, Rabigh, Jamum, Khalees, Al-Laith, Al-Qun fada and nearby areas.
A severe cold wave will start on Friday and will reach its peak on Saturday.
