The Taliban government of Afghanistan has given a 10-day deadline to women shopkeepers in the Afghan city of Mazar-e-Sharif to close their shops and beauty parlors in the city of Pul Khamri.

In Afghanistan, women are banned from pursuing higher education, working in NGOs.

Balkh Provincial Department of Law and Order says that men and women are working together in Mazar-i-Sharif, so they ordered the women shopkeepers to close their shops.

On the other hand, the owners of beauty parlors in Pul Khamri city say that the governor of Baghlan province has ordered them to close the parlors within 10 days, after which the salons will not be allowed to operate.
