A storm has caused heavy snowfall in various parts of Japan, killing one person.
According to the foreign news agency, the first snow of the season fell in Tokyo; a record 36 inches of snow fell in 24 hours in Minwa, Japan, and the temperature in Kusa was recorded as minus 9 degrees Celsius this morning.
According to media reports, more than 300 flights of domestic airlines have been canceled in the northern part of Japan, while bullet train service has also been suspended and delayed due to visibility.
In central Japan, cars and trucks are facing difficulties on the roads due to snowfall.
According to the news agency, the snowfall from western Japan to northern Japan is likely to continue till tomorrow.
