The Russian Ministry of Defense has blamed the Ukrainian army for the attack on a hospital in the eastern region of Luhansk, in which 14 people were killed and 24 injured.
According to the French news agency AFP, the Russian Ministry of Defense has said in a statement that “on Saturday morning, the Ukrainian army deliberately targeted the building of the district hospital in Novydar with the American-made multi-launch system Hymer.”
According to the statement, 14 people have been killed and 24 injured in this attack. Among the dead and injured were patients undergoing treatment at the hospital and members of the medical staff.
The statement said that this hospital has been providing necessary medical assistance to the local population and soldiers for the past several months.
“A deliberate attack on an active medical center is a serious war crime committed by the Kiev government,” the Defense Ministry statement added.
It should be noted that Russia attacked Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
On Thursday, Ukrainian authorities said that the Russian Air Force fired more than 30 missiles at different areas of Ukraine and shot down more than two dozen drones.
The latest attacks by Russia came as Ukraine’s allies, including the United States and Germany, promised to supply it with advanced tanks on Wednesday.
Ukraine had said that the supply of modern tanks by the United States and Germany will help repel attacks by Russian troops.
During the war, the president of Ukraine has repeatedly demanded the supply of modern military weapons from the United States and its allies.
Since October, Russia has continuously launched missile attacks on Ukraine, targeting energy sources.
