US President Joe Biden has said in his State of the Union address two days after ordering the downing of a Chinese spy balloon that the US is ready to work with China but will defend its own interests.
“Make no mistake about it, as we made clear last week, if China threatens our integrity,” Biden said in an address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday night, according to the French news agency¬†AFP. If he puts it, we will take steps to protect our country.’

Joe Biden‘s annual address comes at a time when America is grappling with challenges at home and abroad. These include economic uncertainty, the grueling war in Ukraine, escalating tensions with China, and more.
Regarding the Russia-Ukraine war, he promised that the United States would help Ukraine as long as it helped it fight a Russian invasion.
The US President addressed Ukraine’s ambassador to the US, Oksana Mark arova, who was there, and said, “We will stand by you no matter how long it takes.” Our nation is working for more freedom, more dignity, more peace, not only in Europe but everywhere.

The American president said that “the story of America is the story of progress and emerging from difficulties.”
Joe Biden also mentioned record jobs during his administration in the speech.
He declared that even two years after the attack on Capitol Hill, “American democracy has not yielded or suffered.”
