Those who attacked the police chief’s office in Pakistan’s coastal city of Karachi have been identified. According to the police, the alleged attackers belonged to Waziristan and Lucky Marwat.
A senior officer of Karachi Police, while talking to Urdu News, said that on the evening of Friday, February 17, three armed men attacked the office of the Karachi Police Chief. When the security personnel at the gate stopped them, they attacked with hand grenades and managed to enter the KPO building.

According to the police officer, the armed suspects tried to take the people in the building hostage, but the officers on duty thwarted their attempt.
Later, the police and other law enforcement agencies, including the Rangers, conducted an operation and killed the three armed assailants.
He said that two attackers were killed in the encounter with the police and one blew himself up with explosives.
The police officer further said that the three armed suspects who attacked the KPO have been identified. The alleged attackers have been identified as Kifayatullah, Majeed, and Zala Noor.
Zala Noor, the suicide bomber, belonged to North Waziristan, Kifayatullah, the attacker who was killed in an encounter with security forces, belonged to Lucky Marwat and Majeed belonged to Datta Khel area of North Waziristan.
The police officer says that a suspicious vehicle with fake number plates has also been found outside the KPO office. It is feared that the attackers came in the same vehicle. More details are being obtained in this regard.
