A woman has died while saving her daughter from a wild boar in Chhattisgarh, India.
According to NDTV, the incident took place on Sunday in Korba district of Chhattisgarh state.

According to an official of Korba district forest department, the girl survived the incident, but her mother could not survive after she was seriously injured during a fight with a wild boar.
Forest range officer Damnwas Dahayat said that the incident took place in Teliamar village under Pisan police station limits when a 45-year-old woman, Dwashiya Bai and her daughter Rinki went to fetch soil in a nearby field.
According to initial reports, when the said woman was busy digging the soil, suddenly a wild boar came there and the life of her baby girl started increasing.
According to the forest department officer, the woman Davashia fought the wild boar with a shovel. She succeeded in killing the wild boar, but in the process sustained severe injuries which led to her death.
As soon as the incident was reported, the officials of the forest department reached the place and the body of the woman was sent for post-mortem.
25 thousand rupees have been paid to the family of the deceased woman initially as compensation while five lakh 75 thousand rupees will be paid after necessary action.
