India’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh says that in the fiscal year 2022-23, India has sold defense equipment worth Rs 15,920 crore abroad.
Rajnath Singh said that ‘India’s defense exports in the financial year 2022-23 remained at the highest rate in history. Which was Rs 15,920 crore.’
According to India’s defense minister, exports of defense equipment have increased 10-fold in the last six years of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government.
In the last financial year, India sold defense equipment worth Rs 12,814 crore abroad.
Rajnath Singh says that India’s defense exports will continue to grow under the impressive leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Referring to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh’s statement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote in a tweet. “This shows that the reforms brought in the defense sector in the last few years are bearing good fruit.” Our government will support every effort to make India a hub for defense equipment manufacturing.
It should be note that the Indian government has set a target of increasing India’s defense equipment exports to 35 thousand crores in the financial year 2024-25.
