The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has condemned the attempt to distort the identity of Beit Al-Maqdis by completely rejecting the Israeli usurpation policies.
According to Sabak News, regarding the Israeli attacks and illegal occupation of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, it was said in the extraordinary meeting of the OIC Executive Committee in Jeddah on Saturday that the aim of Israeli usurpation policies is to distort the identity of Al-Quds.
Al-Quds is the capital of the Palestinian state and an integral part of occupied Palestine. All parts of the Al-Aqsa Mosque are exclusively for the worship of Muslims.
The secretary general of the organisation, Hussain Ibrahim Taha, in his address before the meeting, reiterated the position of the OIC regarding the events in Al-Aqsa and said that this meeting is taking place at a time when the situation in Al-Quds is tense, with Israeli forces occupying Al-Aqsa. The attacks have increased. Hundreds have been injured and arrested in the attacks.
The Secretary General of the OIC warned that “attempts to change the historical and legal status of Islamic and Christian holy places in Al-Quds, especially Al-Aqsa Mosque, will be unacceptable.”
He said that ‘such an effort is fully responsible for the consequences of these serious crimes and violations that will lead to violence and tension, which is feared to harm peace and stability in the region’.
Hussain Ibrahim Taha said that “the purpose of all Israel’s decisions and policies is to change the geographical and demographic status of the city and to affect the historical and legal status of its holy places.”
