Authorities in the US state of Alabama have said that four people were killed and several others were injured in a shooting at a birthday party.
According to the US news agency Associated Press, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the shooting happened on Saturday night, but it has not yet been confirmed what caused the incident.
It is not yet known if any suspects have been taken into custody.
The shooting took place in Dadeville, Alabama. A Police Department official, Pastor Ben Hayes, said most of the shooting victims were young because it was a 16-year-old boy’s birthday. According to him, the shooting devastated this small town, where such crimes are rare.

According to WRBL TV, the shooting took place in a dance studio.
“This morning I shared the grief of the people of Dadeville,” said Alabama Governor Away. Violent crime has no place in our state.
