The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior said on Thursday that those who wish to participate in the National Assembly elections will be able to submit nomination papers starting Friday, May 5, 2023. May 14 will be the last date for the submission of papers.

According to Kuwait’s official news agency, ‘Kona’, Director General Brigadier Salah al-Shatti of the Legal Institution under the Ministry of Interior has said that the nomination papers will be processed in accordance with the National Assembly Elections Law 1962.

Al-Shati says that there will be a process of submitting papers for 10 consecutive days; papers will be received every day from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The operation will continue even on weekly holidays.
Al-Shati said that 759 election committees have been established. 118 schools will be used as election centres.
