The Saudi Camel Race Federation has said that the camel race will be held from June 10 to July 15, 2023, and it has been named ‘Alfamarid 2023’.
According to the Saudi news agency SPA, the camel race will consist of 191 rounds. Prizes of more than 2.3 million riyals have been reserved for the winners of the competition.
The first stage of the race will be in Taif, Tabuk, and Najran. Taif will have 50 rounds.
There will be 46 rounds in Tabuk, out of which 138 participants will be selected for the finals.
There will be 40 rounds in Hail, out of which 120 will be selected for the finals.
Najran will also have 40 rounds, and 120 will be selected for the final.
In the first stage, the first prize will be five thousand riyals, the second prize will be 2500 riyals, the third prize will be 1500, the fourth prize will be one thousand, and the fifth prize will be five hundred riyals. The final round of the competition will be held on July 15 in Taif.
