In Saudi Arabia, the Haramin Sharif administration has for the first time organised an exhibition of the Kaaba and its cover in the Prophet’s Mosque.
According to the Urgal website, several important artefacts related to the Kaaba have been decorated in the exhibition. Visitors are witnessing the equipment used in bathing the Kaaba at the exhibition.
Oud, rose water, and incense used to perfume the Kaaba are also on display.
Old pieces of Kaaba covers, inner curtains of Kaaba, curtains of Bab Kaaba, lanterns, and machines used in sewing Kaaba covers are also exhibited.
Fans of the Kaaba cover exhibition at Masjid Nabawi are also being given the opportunity to participate in the preparation of the cover.
Beautiful pictures of important parts of the Kaaba are also displayed in the exhibition. For example, pictures of the Kaaba, the Key of the Kaaba, the Black Stone, and the Rock of Yamani are displayed.
Apart from this, some documentaries related to Kaaba are also part of the exhibition. In addition to the Kiswat Kaaba film, the film related to the manuscripts of the Kaaba and the photos of the important places of the Haramin Sharif are included.
The purpose of the Kaaba exhibition is to introduce the visitors of the Prophet’s Mosque to the efforts of the Saudi authorities regarding the Kaaba, its reconstruction, repair, and maintenance, the stabilisation of the walls, the replacement of the doors of the Kaaba, and the improvement of the Shahrwan.
