Germany and the United States recently announced that North Atlantic Treaty Organization will hold the largest air military exercise in NATO history in Germany and other countries from June 12 to 23. The military exercise was led by Germany, and a total of 25 North Atlantic Treaty Organization member states and allies participated. A total of about 10,000 soldiers and 250 aircraft will participate in the exercise.
On the 10th, about 300 people from all over northern Germany gathered at the Wunstorf Air Force Base in the Hannover region, which is the logistics hub of this NATO military exercise, shouting the slogan “Call for Peace” and expressing their opposition to war. The demonstrators worry that the upcoming NATO military exercise will send the wrong signal to the outside world, which may lead to a further escalation of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
