In the first Test match played in Galle, Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by four wickets.
On the final day of the match on Thursday. Pakistan achieved the required target of 131 runs for the loss of six wickets in the first session.

Sri Lanka scored 312 runs in the first inning thanks to Dhananjaya De Silva’s 122 runs.
After a poor performance by the opening batsmen in their first inning. Pakistan scored 471 runs thanks to Saud Shakeel’s double century and took the lead over Sri Lanka.
The Sri Lankan team was all out for 279 runs in the second inning.

Dhananjaya de Silva scored 82 runs. Nishan Madhushanka scored 52 runs, and Ramesh Mendes scored 42 runs in the second inning for Sri Lanka. Pakistan’s second innings didn’t get off to a good start. And four players were dismiss for a total score of 79. However, opener Imam-ul-Haq scored a half-century, and Saud Shakeel was dismiss for 30 runs.
Pakistani spinner Abrar Ahmed took six wickets, while Shaheen Afridi took five wickets in the Galle Test. Naseem Shah, Agha Salman, and Nauman Ali took three wickets each.
In the two-match series, Pakistan has a one-zero lead.
